ACTRESS SRIDEVI TO PAIR WITH KAMAL HASSAN?
Actress Sridevi is likely to don the grease paint once again. But what is making waves is the news that she may act in a film with Kamal Haasan. The two of them were a hit pair and their films like Aakali Rajayam, Errragulabbeli, Vasanthakokila were huge hits. Director P Vasu has signed a new film with Kamal Haasan in the lead.
He is trying to rope in Sridevi opposite Kamal. If things work out, then the two of them will pair up once again after a gap of 17 years. Sridevi is planning to make a re-entry and hubby Boney Kapoor is also said to have given the green signal.

The new and untitled movie of Ravi Teja is today launched at Annapurna Studio, Hyderabad. The film is made on Lakshmi Narasimha Visual Banner. V.V.Vinayak is the Director. Music is by Ramana Gogula. Debutant B. Kasi Viswanatham is the Producer. Trisha is playing the Heroine. Union Minister Dasari Narayana rao sounded clapboard. Former Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu switched on the camera. SS.Rajamouli did the first shot direction.
V.V.Vinayak said the regular shooting would start from July 15th . One song would be canned at Puket Islands in August. The remaining songs would be shot in and around Hyderabad and on the sets. The story is about a Vijayawada based romantic youth falling in love. Hero Ravi Teja said it is an action packed love story.

Telugu actor Balakrishna has been conferred with the title Vishwa Vikhyatha Nata Teja by the Washington Telugu Cultural Society. Balakrishna is the star attraction the TANA celebrations this year. Veteran actor Gummadi, Murali Mohan, Sunil and others were present on the occasion. Balakrishna regaled the audience with his play Sri Krishna Devarayulu. His speech was also received with great enthusiasm.

ACTRESS NIKITHA IN A BOLLYWOOD REMAKE
Hot and sultry Telugu actress Nikitha will play the lead role in new Telugu film to be directed by Ravi Babu. The Hindi film “Life in a Metro” is being remade in Telugu and the role of Shilpa Shetty would be essayed by Nikitha. She has no qualms about essaying the role of an adulteress and says that it would be both a challenge and an opportunity to play that role.

DASARI ARUN KUMAR TO BE RE-LAUNCHED AS HERO…
Director Dasari Narayana Rao’s son Dasari Arun Kumar is all set to be re-launched as hero. Arun Kumar is making re-entry as a lead hero in a new film. He will be making grand entry again. Arun Kumar who went to attend TANA 2007 said that his next film would star Sneha as the heroine. She has agreed to play the female lead in the film that is to be directed by Dasari’s former associate Venugopal.
Arun Kumar went along with his wife to USA and then will be holidaying for few days in Bahamas. The film will go to the sets next month.
Colrs Swathi In Indraganti Film
Colors Swathi is going to star in the forthcoming film of Indraganti Mohan Kumar. Sources said the TV programmer turned actress is not interested in glamour roles that require mirth and dance, but pure performance on the lines of “AMAV” or films with suspense on the lines of Krishnavamsi’s “Danger”.

GOOD FOR MOVIE
1. Main leads: Bhumika Chawla and Sivaji did very well in their lead roles.
2. Comedy: Some of the comedy scenes borrowed from the original and conceived at home are good.
BAD FOR MOVIE
1.. True translation of scenes and dialogues from original (they did not even bother to change the dialogues and scenes to suit the tastes of Telugu audience)
2. The hair style of Sivaji
3. Songs come as speed breakers to the film as the story does not require any songs. The music by Chakri is adequate even though most of the tunes were borrowed from the old flicks.
FINAL REPORT
It disappoints the people who already watched ‘50 First Dates’. But it may offer some variety for those people who have not watched ‘50 First Dates’ yet.

Highlights:
Before the movie release …Jagapathi babu oka important charecter lo natisthunnadu ani anukunnaru andaru but in reality he is also a hero of the film.Both Gopichand &Jagapathi babu charecters have equal importance and equal footage.(and it is not just for footage sake)
Jagapathi babu looks handsome and excelled in his charecter as a police officer.Gopichand done the role of angry young man,his performance is excellent in emotional scenes especially interval&climax scenes.
Debutant director Srivasu is good at canning emotional&action scenes.Film opening, interval& Climax scenes bagunnayi.
some dialogues(Ratnam)are good.(at times they sound vulgar)
Fights(Ram Lakshman,Vijay),Cinematography(Sekhar V. Joseph) are good.
Raghu babu comedy bagundhi.Brahmanandam,Venumadhav unna kasepu bane navvincharu.
Sidelights:
Though there are many fresh elements in the Screenplay(Srivasu&GopiMohan) it is not gripping.Screenwriters failed in maintaining the tempo.
Nothing much to say about Heroine Anushka,Music(Mani Sarma).They are just OK.
First half is balanced with Entertianment,action&family elements,Second half is an action drama and somewhat boring.Overall ga comedy takkuva.
Some songs disturbs the pace&mood of the film(especially last song)

YAMADONGA IS A STYLISH FILM
Telugu movie “Yamadonga”, one of the most eagerly awaited premium product of Tollywood is all set to come before the audience very shortly. This film is by far the costliest movie made so far in the Telugu film industry.
Biggest indoor set so far:
This film boasts of the biggest indoor set erected so far in the whole of Asia and incidentally is the costliest individual set. This Yamalokam set was erected over a period of 90 days with 300 workers working on the set day and night. The magnitude of the set was so much that it took almost another one and half month to dismantle the same. This set was erected in Ramoji film city and the number of shooting days in this set was 42. Apart from this the other sets erected for four songs, the set of the hero house and the heroine house are also done with lot of richness and grand taste. Added to these grandeur sets, the graphics of this film are also bound to a visual treat to the eyes of the audience. The producers of this film have ensured qualities of high standard and are very confident that the film will be on par with Hollywood standards and they are confident that this film will be watched even by the foreigners and Hindi speaking audience too, purely because of the fact that the plot is a very interesting one in the form of a socio fantasy subject.
Daler Mahendi song:
The production house has not compromised on any issues and wants to make a mark in the international market. The highlights of the film are far too many with music being the first amongst them. The audio of this film comprises of 6 songs and 4 bit songs and is getting release in the 1st week of July. One of the song is sung by Daler Mehendi and one of them by NTR and Mamata Mohandas.
Superior graphics work:
A team of 80 professionals spread over three outsourcing houses spearheaded the EFX are working on the graphics and the production house is confident of coming out with the most impressive visuals. Some of the work was handled by Mr. Adel Eddelli a professional from Iran who has contributed heavily in the Hollywood films too.
Songs with 7 heroines:
Another highlight of the film is that it is hatrick combinatino of director S.S.Rajamouli and NTR whose two earlier films Student No.1 and Simhadri were big blockbusters in Tollywood. Also the film by far has a large starcast in the form of biggest names in Tollywood. Padmasri Dr. M.Mohan Babu is playing an equally important role as the hero and is bound to create waves with his performance as lord Yama. Apart from this, the film has seven heroines namely Kushboo, Priyamani, Mamata Mohandas, Rambha, Preeti Jhingania, Navneeth Kaur and Archana. Probably this the only film in telugu where the hero shakes a leg with all the above heroines (excluding Kushboo) which is bound to bring variety and spice to this film. The other important stars are Brahmanandam, Ali, MS Narayana, Raghu babu, Jayaprakash, Naresh, Rajeev Kanakala etc. The role of the villain is donned by Narendra Jha who played the role of Baji rao in Chatrapati.
Excellent lighting by Senthilkumar:
The excellent art work by popular art director Mr Anand Sai is well complimented by the cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar who has been given a free hand by the production house and the director to light up the sets in a very tasteful way. And though the cost of the film had gone up substantially because of his excellent lighting schemes, the producers have no qualms about it as it is finally enhancing the richness of the film.
Director SS Rajamouli who has given 5 successive blockbusters, carries a major responsibility on his shoulders as he has to ensure that this film has to be better than all his previous films. The expectations are very high and the entire team of Yamadonga has no doubts that he will deliver it in style. This film is bound to satisfy one and all as it has universal appeal with lot of entertainment stuffed into it.
This film is presented by Rama Rajamouli and produced by Cheri and Urmila under the banner of Viswamitra Creations which happens to be the own banner of SS Rajamouli.

A Fund-raising Dinner With NBK
Cure A Little Heart Foundation and Hrudaya Foundation are helping thousands of under-privileged kids in India by curing heart diseases and by providing surgeries at free of cost.
Dynamic hero of Telugu film industry, Yuva Ratna Nanadamuri Balakrishna joins hands with Cure A Little Heart Foundation and Hrudaya Foundation to help further this noble cause.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s presence in the fundraising dinner helped the organizers raise 250,000$ USD (1 crore Indian rupees). This event was organized at Hilton Hotel, Irvine/Orange County Airport in California, United States on Saturday, 30th June, 2007. The event started at 7PM and went on till almost midnight. It was attened by the trustees of Cure A Little Heart and Hrudaya foundation, eminent NRIs and Mr. Nandamuri BalaKrishna’s fans.
Nandamuri Balakrishna mesmerised the crowd of over 200 people with his speech. In his speech Nandamuri Balakrishna praised all the people invloved in this noble cause. He said that in spite of a Telugu adage “Sarvendriyanam nayanam pradhanam” meaning out of all the organs eyes are the most important, he believes that it is the heart that is the most important organ and substantiated his belief by pledging enough money to support heart surgeries for five children.
Dr. Gopichand Mannam, the Managing Trustee of Hrudaya Foundation received standing ovation in recognition of all his hardwork towards the foundation. Jayaram Komati-Trustee of Hrudaya Foundation and Dr. Nagarjuna R. Ponugoti-Managing Trustee of Hrudaya Foundation, executive members of Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC), Veeru Uppala-TANA Regional Vice President, Sateesh (Chairman-TANA Trustee board) attended the event.
Cultural events of the evening were presented by Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) and were thoroughly enjoyed by the audeince. The event was promoted by Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC).
Dr. Prem Reddy, well-known Cardiologist donated 50,000 USD and Mr. Sarath Kamineni donated 25,000 USD on behalf of his family. Mr. Venkata Subba Raju donated 5,000 USD. Nandamuri Balakrishna fans Ravi Potluri, Chakradhar, etc., donated 1500$ to the Cure A Little Heart Foundation.
Mr. Ravi Potluri coordinated the fans activities.
